We had a good time this morning with Isaac and Milo in the studio. Milo is 1 1/2 and Isaac will be turning 4 in a couple weeks. What a couple of handsome boys!

Thank you, Maddy!
A big thank you to Maddy Jones for being my guinnea pig today! She was kind enough to "model" for me so I could test out some new equipment. With new lights, reflectors, props, stands and backdrops I didn't know what to expect. I was particularly excited to try one new look - the shiny, glittery backdrop promised to either be "oh-so-fun!" or "oh-no-what've you done?!"!
Here is what we got with the beautiful Madelynne Rae Jones:

I'm thinking "oh-so-fun!", but how could you get anything else with this girl? Love her joy!!

The Havens Family
Emery brought his drum set into the studio today for a fun shoot - what a talented boy! I was blown away. Isn't it fun to watch as kids grow in the talents God has blessed them with? He brought little sister Annie, Mom (Valerie) and Dad (Matt) too. We even got to play in the snow for a (very) few minutes. Here are a couple images - more to come soon!

Kicking off the new year right...
We've got some great stuff lined up for 2010 already. There are some very special weddings this summer to look forward to, big plans for the studio, we're testing the waters in a new frontier (for Studio614 anyways): Seniors and I'll be blogging the whole way. Of course, the pictures will over-run the text on here I'm sure but after-all, a picture is worth a thousand words. Tomorrow will be our first session of 2010 and I can't wait. I know I'm in for a treat - the Havens family is such a fun bunch and Emery will be bringing his new drum set to the studio!
While we're waiting for tomorrow's fun with the Havens, isn't this the perfect time of year to reflect? I cannot believe how far we have come in 2009. In the past 12 months, Studio614 went from being just a concept - a "hopefully-one-day," to a legitimate business with an address of it's own. I must say, we've had a lot of fun along the way! Here's a look at some of my favorite images from the past year:
